Obama's healthcare horror | Salon

Note to self, never get on Camille Paglia's bad side!

Quote:
The president is promoting the most colossal, brazen bait-and-switch operation since the Bush administration snookered the country into invading Iraq with apocalyptic visions of mushroom clouds over American cities.

You can keep your doctor; you can keep your insurance, if you're happy with it, Obama keeps assuring us in soothing, lullaby tones. Moderator cut: copyright - first two sentences and link only!.

Wow, you can never predict what position she will take on a given issue. Well said Camille!

I think that there are a lot of people who will waken from their blue vs red stupor and agree with Paglia.
What she is saying is that neither party is operating with the American publics best interest at heart - or anywhere else for that matter. We as a people need to realize we are being manipulated into believing the us vs them hype when in reality the only 'us vs them' is the American public vs the politicians.

In her last column for Salon, Paglia said Sarah Palin was the clear winner in the vice presidential debate against Joe Biden.

Keep that in mind when reading any of her columns.

You have to admit that neither Biden nor Palin are great orators (or thinkers). Hell, its like trying to decide who is the better speaker between Rainman and Forrest Gump.

It's time for the voters to abandon the security of a two party system. DC needs a good shaking during a thorough swamp draining. If we could get the House and Senate each with at least 10% representation as other than Dem or Rep there might be Hope and Change the whole country could get behind.

Well, except for the mendicants and fanatics.

Absolutely correct. The right vs. left nonsense is a diversion to keep us from paying attention to what is really going on.

Default Heads Should Roll, Starting w/ Pelosi: Paglia

I've never read Paglia's stuff before now. Really like the way she writes and calls out the failures and incompetence on both sides of the aisle.

There is plenty of blame to go around. Obama's aggressive endorsement of a healthcare plan that does not even exist yet, except in five competing, fluctuating drafts, makes Washington seem like Cloud Cuckoo Land. The president is promoting the most colossal, brazen bait-and-switch operation since the Bush administration snookered the country into invading Iraq with apocalyptic visions of mushroom clouds over American cities.
