I remember when people posting bad news about Iraq were accused of wanting the terrorists to win.
I guess that no longer applies to those always hyping bad news about our economy.
idahogie...Im not happy that the economy is bad...Im a small struggling business owner ...I just totally disagree with Obama's handling of the economy which I feel will eventually end up ruining this nation
As always people tend to blame Obama when they see something they don't like and cheer Bush when they see something they do like about the economic situation when the action has never been changed. Markets up a good 20% as well, how nice it didn't make it into your really in depth economic analysis there.
Don't you and other Obama supporters do the opposite?
What spurred the market to climb, more jobs lost, lower retail sales, more bankruptcies or more foreclosures?
Huh...? This kinda of reminds me of how sports commentators in boxing call the the box a ring, yet it is square......go and play semantics somewhere else.
You go and race bait somewhere else. You brought up, I didn't.

Not really, I always thought it was part of Bush's stimulus, and I think it's going to work as long as the politicians pay it off (hopeful thinking there). I wouldn't call myself a supporter just because I don't rush to the scream ad hominem attacks about Democrats.
You tell me, why it did then if everything is going to hell? I see total margins increasing, jobs actually opening up (even in my home Oregon), increases in spending for capital projects, durable goods orders increasing. The line is never a straight one going up or down, it's more of a scatter plot...taking one month and extrapolating is bad statistics.
SO in the case of Iraq, were people correct or not?
It would seem you want your cake and to eat it too...
Yes. We were correct. Invading Iraq was a stupid, stupid idea.
And you all are totally wrong about the economy. Last fall, we were worried about a second Great Depression. The stimulus plan, which is only about 10% completed, is doing what was intended. And the Fed agreed yesterday.

could you explain exactly what Obama is doing that you feel will ruin this nation?
Is it turning around GM and Chrysler? Is it loaning the banks money? Is it trying to help uninsured folks get insured? Is it "spending money to make money"? What exactly is it?

On that Iraq thingy, why isn't your President withdrawing all the troops?
As to being totally wrong on the economy, this must be one of those keep the faith sort of deals,I believe so it mus tbe true,no matter what facts are presented.
Also this seems to mean you ARE one of those have your cake and eat it too types....
