I didn't know putting up a poster was vandalism? I thought vandalism was spraypainting, breaking windows, and other things like that. Peel off the poster and throw it away,...problem solved.

How about someone gluing poster to your car or your house? Would you consider it vandalism? No?

Not if they caused damage, which is currently being assessed.
I don't want people putting posters on my house, and I if I owned a business I wouldn't want posters put on my store without my knowing either.
Thats what made him a vandal. If he had asked permission, there would have been no problem. Of course, most people would have told him no.
