If Black people have such a problem living in the U.S maybe they should go live in one of the dozens of majority-Black countries which are such astounding success stories.
Was just pointing out a minor problem with the statement. thats all .
I got some news for you.
A US Census Bureau's press release stated that Caucasians in the United States will cease to be a majority (46%) in their own nation by 2042 – if not sooner.
So the operative word is "predominantly."
Do you have any doubts about the demographics of Appalachia? How about the longstanding poverty? How about the abuse pushed upon the region by racist policy that excludes them, that isolates them?

Why do you have such a hard on for black people? Does posting racist tripe get you off? No one in reality cares about your facts, your crimerate statistics, or whatever. Black people aren't going away any time soon.
Did you know that many thousands of peace loving and generally poor white people living in Appalachian Mountain range were butchered during the Civil War? These people have historically been economically challenged, such a challenge persists for these people to this day.
These people were not slave holders, nor were they part of the merchantile/commerce of the Northern States, these northern states fighting against slavery not because of ethics or morals but as part of an economic advantage sought over the southern states.
These people lost life, were raped, children killed, tortured, had their subsitence stolen, etc. These people where not slave holders and had zero stake in the Civil War yet they paid dearly.
I am so tired of hearing that slavery only affected blacks, that adversity only fell upon blacks. It's time the REAL FACTS be known.
Do you know your history?
Did you know that many of those people were in fact killed by Confederate troops due to both unofficial action and deliberate policy?
You were right, most of those people did not own slaves and they had no real support for what the Confederacy was doing, so they actually supported the Union in most cases (western Virginia which broke away to form West Virginia for example) and countless smaller regions in Tennessee, Virginia, North Carolina, and even Alabama. The Confederacy ruthlessly put down these rebellions, they thought it was wrong that a region should try to break away and follow its own policy. Funny that...

Civil war was a nasty war yes . Alot of fighting went on after the war was over. the people of Appalachian were mostly been ignored and abused true. But have also been great contributors to the American cultrue i.e. Nascar, country music. Every race in it's histroy has had or done some very bad things. To add The people of Appalachian have also tried to stay isolated from the rest of America. Thanks for the story. I like history.
