Well in the early days Hitler was able to sway the people and convince them that what he was doing was "for their own good" and would benefit them. Hitler stirred up emotions in the people and was able to direct their emotions the way he wanted and for the causes he wanted.
When its clear Obama is much more like Joseph Stalin...with his 37 "czars", his penchant for collectivization, and his America hating wife...
I heard a lot of the LaRouche people (very leftist) were putting the Nazi twist on things becuase they were hot and bothered they weren't getting single payer.

I think they are looking for the shock of their comments to add drama to their opinion the the country is sliding into socialism, and the NAZI party was a national socialist party, that turned into a fascist dictatorship. Their will always be herds of sheeple shouting "Yes we can" hoping for change and Nirvana, and they end up with Stalin, Hitler, Mussolini or some fascist regime instead.
