Agreed.
Stereotypes. And every Irishman a drunk and so forth.
No Most Muslims are moderates. This radical approach is a Middle east problem for the most part. Yes even in Asia you have some violent sects. Compared to the majority these violent groups are a very small percentage.
Islam is not about violence.
Just like with the early Churches, leaders made religion violent. Islam has the same problem especially when we are talking about illiterate people who depend on a few to tell them what the Koran says.

Its wonderful of him to be broadminded and look for the best in others. Way to go Obama, to be diplomatic and the friend to all! That's the only way to deal with those people. Hate really only generates hate. Clinton was so clever that way; he was loved everywhere outside of this nation. He was a friend to everyone [to some as well all know, he was simply too friendly. LOL!]. Unusual for an american to be curious of other cultures and people. What a great president such people make, whether not all their policies suited everyone personally.

There are actually many incredibly beautiful things in Islam, which is often deterred from their own people by the preachers. Unfortunately they have become prisoners of their mullahs and priests who use religion as a political tool. Information from the outside doesn't reach them, since this may make them question their leaders. So they're completely brainwashed. Sort of like our rednecks here... And just like Christians were captives to priests who spewed hate in the name of religion.

Its always been a disaster, in all of history, when religion gets mixed with politics...

Yeah, I'm quite aware of what honor killings are. I wonder, maybe you should do a poll in your local city. Poll every single muslim you come across, ask them if they follow the koran & then see if they've killed someone. I think you'd be surprised. LOL, ok gibbs. Delusion is such a pathetic road to go down, don't you think?

You are the delusional one. You know about these things, it is welded into their beliefs, and you think it doesn't happen. Get a clue, Islam is a violent religion when you don't fall in line with their beliefs, plain and simple. Women get punished and thrown into prison for being raped, do you support that also?

Where did I say that honor killings don't happen? There is something severely wrong w/you...actually, I know what it is. Bush really got to ya, didn't he? You poor thing, you actually believe all the general nonsense that was drilled into the brains of people who can't think for themselves. Tsk tsk.

Uhmmm If Clinton was so loved? Then why all the attacks against US assets while he was the president?
Lets also not forget that 911 was planned and hatched under his watch.
The answer is the same as it will be for Obama. Terrorists look at overly friendly people as weak.

Evil is a subjective term here: many countries see the US and all its citizens as evil -- as the root of all evil.

Countries and their leaders often have evil intents, and train their citizens to support those evil intents.

Obama is separating the religion from the politics in that message.
