Sadly that is what the people on the right want. God help us all. We'll need it.

No.
To root for someone to fail is beyond retarded.

You might not agree with his policies, and you might think he will fail, but even if you have that belief you should at least hope that you are wrong and that he succeeds.

I really wish that the Obama haters would answer that question. Spell it out. What should he be doing to bring this country back from the pit we are in now?
I don't hate Obama and you are correct that we were in a war we didn't need to be in under Bush, Obama jumped right in and extended that war to Afghanistan just like he said he would during his campaign. He was supposed to bring the soliders home within 6 months of taking office and here it is Sept and noone is home and now we are fighting in another country. Fact is Obama got everyone excited with his "change" rhetoric yet we see no change. He made campaign promises that there was no way he could keep just like any other presidential candidate but at a more critical time in our country. He has inherited a mess and as of yet has only made it worse. He blindly accepted bailing out banks and yet leaves Americans floundering, it is business as usual in DC big money always wins and the average citizen struggles.

To answer the OP's questions, I don't want Obama to fail overall because if he does our country fails. However, some of his ideas and plans should fail . Even his own party is having difficulty with some of his plans, that says alot about party solidarity. What a sad, sad mess our country is in.

Do you want President Obama to fail? do you pray for his downfall?
I voted no to failure. But only because the success of the Prez would leave the U.S. in a second world status as a socialist nation.

My vote expresses my fervent desire that Congress and the admin are unable to complete any legislation for any purpose other than funding paychecks for government union employees and the military. The rest are failures and should go home.

Then in 2010 and 2012 we can send all these leftovers home for good.

I don't worship politicians, it's my country I care about.

If Obama is a globalist/socialist, then yes he should fail in order for my country to survive.

I voted "NO", why do I want some one to fail upfront...now I want him to fail on the things I don't agree with him, and that are many things...but to pray for that is not how I am.

I know he will digg his own grave...so why should I jinx it

If obama "fails" to get a $1+ trillion dollar HC bill, that will be good for America - less deficit spending, less taxes on people to pay for it. Deficit spending and taxes are not a good thing.

Same with Cap&Tax.
