From those screaming OMG Commie, Fascist, Black Nationalist, Muslim, those screaming about Obama's Birth Certificate to those who hope prominent Democrats 'just die already' it seems like many of the Republicans and conservatives that are on CD are from Free Republic and other like sites. So do any sane Republicans and/or conservatives on here want to entertain the idea of having a civil debate or have all of them been scared off by the Freeper crowd.

You can't debate a Liberal because they just blame everyone else and refuse to engage in debate. They always avoid answering direct questions.

I'd say you're dead on considering the OP forgot to tell us what we're debating. I guess that's one way to refuse to engage in a debate.

This coming from someone who has resorted to the Nazi name calling....

To Colddiamond whatever you want. If its something in the other threads that is has resorted to the typical name calling or anything else. After all the freepers which tend to dominate the discussion just wanted to see if those like you exist on here

One problem is Liberals automatically think they are superior to you and you opinion doesn't matter as they already know what is best for you.

I'm a gay, biracial, atheist, conservative, animal rights extremist. :-)

I am very liberal on most social issues, but extremely right wing on fiscal issues. Sometimes these two views clash and I have to figure out a solution that would best harmonise both of my beliefs.

I think all politicians are lying, cheating criminals, some are just more obvious than others. With some of them atleast you have a chance of them following through with their campaign promises.

Please read this, think about it for a couple minutes, show it to your neighbor so they can point out the obvious, and then never again press that new thread button.. thanks

For the sake of debate and argument, sure.

I'm assuming you are from the left in some degree, hence the post, so I'll ask you the following. How do those on the left rationalize or deal with Obama expanding warrantless wiretapping?

Obama Administration Quietly Expands Bush's Legal Defense of Warrantless Wiretapping | Rights and Liberties | AlterNet
Quote:
In a stunning defense of President George W. Bush's warrantless wiretapping program, President Barack Obama has broadened the government's legal argument for immunizing his Administration and government agencies from lawsuits surrounding the National Security Agency's eavesdropping efforts.
There are several other issues in which I would enjoy a discussion on, but for now, lets start with this one since it was one of the issues that the left decried the loudest.

Sound reasonable?
