So many people showed up because they are OUTRAGED at what is going on in Washington! We ARE NOT being heard!!
Obama said in his campaign everything he wanted to do. Except for having to manage the financial crisis, which wasnt his fault, nothing else should be a surprise.

Up to two million people marched to the U.S. Capitol today, carrying signs with slogans such as "Obamacare makes me sick" as they protested the president's health care plan and what they say is out-of-control spending...
American are fighting back against this radical socialist administration.....
The question is who started the mess in the first place and why didn't anyone complain then?
I don't think there was a clear start to it - as in "blame this guy for it all", but IMO somewhere back in the 30's is when policies were put into place and they have been expanded more and more and more through the decades and now it's simply out of control.
I think the "New Deal" was a major factor in all of this...but Taft was a pretty far out progressive as well.

it is interesting to see international coverage of the tea party was more comprehensive than us coverage. shame on the media! that is what happens when corporate interests control media enterprises!
if you look at CNN they focus on pictures of individuals holding signs, instead of the MASS of protestors that you see in the pictures on the international sites. it certainly gives you a more objective viewpoint of how many people are really angry about the overreach of government and the lack of wall street transparency /enforcement.
What's certainly NOT ironic is that right-wingers would shun all honest reporting of some matter or other and fly like moths to a flame to any source that tells them what they want to hear. Reality seems to be a very frightening thing to right-wingers. They prefer to have no part of it...

I believe the 9/12 Posse gathering in DC was all Political!
I saw a woman on TV clearly stating that Obama is changing America. (Lie)
How is he doing that? When did he do that?
If he was changing the country his proposals would have been shot down in the senate.
Glenn Beck on the otherside states that the 9/12 event was for all people of all political parties.
Do you really believe that? And if you do why weren't you complaining about Bush's policies when he was President?
Iraq ( Lie )
Patriot Act ( Changing the Constitution )
The Economy
