Anyone who would proudly carry such a disrespectful, vile sign is nothing more than an ignorant piece of trash, regardless of who the sign refers to, and regardless of the carrier's political affiliation. The Republicans out-do themselves every day, it seems. They keep getting trashier and trashier, as time goes on. It's unbelievable that anyone still wants to associate themselves with this kind of ignorant nonsense.
tens of thousands is not exceeding expectations - organizers have stated to the press that that's what they expected.
tens of thousands is a respectable turnout though, no doubt. trying to inflate it contrary to all media reports isn't a good tactic though - it just makes you look silly if the facts come out and you're wrong. do you really think you're qualified to estimate crowd size from a photograph? it will be interesting to see what number the organizers claim. i'm willing to bet it won't be a million! and i'd be surprised if it's in the hundreds of thousands.
There were a lot of black and hispanic people in the crowd.
