tens of thousands is not exceeding expectations - organizers have stated to the press that that's what they expected.

tens of thousands is a respectable turnout though, no doubt. trying to inflate it contrary to all media reports isn't a good tactic though - it just makes you look silly if the facts come out and you're wrong. do you really think you're qualified to estimate crowd size from a photograph? it will be interesting to see what number the organizers claim. i'm willing to bet it won't be a million! and i'd be surprised if it's in the hundreds of thousands.
