I don't think they were talking about Marx and Lenin today. At least not when I was listening to it.

Yes. Everyone that doesn't agree with Obama are card-carrying members of the Klan.

Oh, I wouldn't give NPR all the credit.

Who's minimizing? The actual estimates are the actual estimates. The actual pictures are the actual pictures. What's amusing here are all the usual right-wing attempts to create some sort of alternate reality out of today. Bogus photos, phony quotes...the whole nine deceitful yards that we've seen so many times before...

How do I get my card? Nobody ever told me that my being racist because I didn't vote for The Man earned a KKK card. I feel cheated.

Ever heard about 2010 election? Not really far away in political time.

And why is it that it wouldn't "count" if 10,000 Americans showed up, rather than 100,000 or 1 M?

It wasn't a fund raiser . . . I guess I could understand that folks would be so focused on how many people showed up if they wanted estimates on how much $$$ was made. But it wasn't a fundraiser! So why does it seem that DEMs are all strung out trying to "prove" that this rally was a failure by minimizing the head count? And further - if it is of no importance - why are they simply not doing what I do when I feel something is of no importance - and IGNORE THE WHOLE THING?
It's just accuracy. That's it. It was a sizable number that showed up regardless of the actual number, though certainly you would agree that @ 75,000 or so is not 1 million.

Protests are a good democratic practice. Have at it, but the facts should still be the facts in representing the size, location, etc. of any given protest.

It happened. People came. A good showing of them. Good for them for speaking their minds and protesting peacefully. Although, I have to admit the pitchfork/AK 47 reference by those strange looking dudes scares me a bit. I think having a minimum IQ, functional at the minimum, should be part of the process for getting a gun license

Supporters are inflating the numbers and the rest of us are correcting them. We can't 'ignore the whole thing'. Where would the fun be in that?
