Herbert Hoover was the first US president to use a Teleprompter. He used a teleprompter for his remarks at that year's Republican convention. The year? 1952!

Oh my god! Look! W is using a (gasp) Telepromptor!!! The man still couldn't speak even with the words right in front of him.

I am SHOCKED SHOCKED I tell you! . I knew Bush was evil but a TELEPROMPTER?! Instrument of the devil!!! That thing only devil worshippers and Commies use!

THAT thing!!!

I tell ya, we are on the road to ruin all brought on by those EVIL TELEPROMPTERS!!!

(The fake outrage over Obama using a telepromter reminds me of reading about the first time some people saw fire and were very afraid and superstitious and, well, STUPID!)

And your point is? Of course they use them, the secret is to use them decretely. It took Bush years to learn to do this, but he wasn't known as the best speaker in the world. Libs are saying their hero is perfect but he isn't. He has a good speaking voice, but I do not see him as a talented speaker. Why? because you can see him going from one teleprompter to another and he stubles all over himself when asked questions that do have the answers on his teleprompter..

The key is to be able to talk with knowledge of your subject WITHOUT the aid of a teleprompter.

Wasn't Hoover also a cross-dresser... your point? Bush was an idiot when he didn't have a teleprompter telling him what to say... are you suggesting something about Obama that the public doesn't know about? Or did you post without thinking about it, like most posters...
