They all were all sick, drunk with power, pieces of ****.

But that's just the 20th century. I think if you go way
back, religion is the motivating factor for much of the killings in the world - for the sake of God.
exactly.. religion plays upon the human psyche in so much that people can justify horrible acts against humanity..
You think government is powerful.. religious leaders hold ultimate power over the masses.....atleast in a historical sense..which is why almost every king, emperor or government before the formation of democracy had established official "religions" or "churches" because they have the power to undermine any government. We see it here in america today.. Crazy christians...
and moreso in the middle east where governments fail to even function because of religious power leaders
religion essentially is brainwashing of the highest order.. religion is not accountable for itself, for explaining itself, or for what it promotes. It's downright frightening when you think about it...once groups of people are "onboard" drinking the koolaide they're now your own personal "warriors" willing to do anything that is considered "for god"

I watched the PBS special "God in America Part 1" tonight.
Interesting stuff and probably surprising to a few.
I'm just glad I'm not religious and simply believe in
decency.

Napoleon?

The War of the Roses?

The Hundred Years War?

War is generally over territory, more than ideology.

If one considers Marxism / Communism as a secular religion, it trumps all other religions by body count.

War is either piracy or the defense against piracy.

Those who practice piracy are not adherents to the tenets of any religion that I know of.

Predators are adept at camouflage, hiding among their victims.
