What does this have to do with my point? The racism against these players sucks and is somewhat common at games in Europe. It doesn't mean everyone doing it is a white supremacist, it does mean that they all take football way too seriously.
Again, besides this being an unfortunate instance of racism, how dies it relate to the issue I brought up? It's just a soccer game, what I was talking about was mass immigration.

I thought this thread was about how racist white people are.
They hate Obama because he is black! You can tell by the way they disagree with him and stuff. Look at blacks they definitely don't factor the color of your skin into the way they think, all they care about is the content of your character. That's why 95% of them voted for Obama. The 50% of whites that voted for Obama are just trying to throw you off.
Their plan is to put him in office and then embarrass him by pointing out his ineptness and destructive fiscal policy. After that all the whites will spring forth and reinstate slavery.
Sry if I'm assuming this thread is politically motivated but it seems as if I just heard this issue blow up in the media. It seems like the left is trying to use this to make the right feel bad? or to try and paint them as hateful psychos? I don't really know though that's just a guess. It seems like all the media is polarized and everything they talk about is somehow pushing us one way or the other. It is very sickening and I try and not watch it at all. I get most my info from multiple sources over the internet.
Racism is such an interesting issue, don't you think? It boggles my mind the way that people think. My sister says that we should make blacks special citizens so they can "get ahead" in life. Like uber-affirmative action throughout all aspects of American society. Hey and what do ya know she is a super liberal too.

I concede, I just said "white" for simplicity sake. You might also say that East Asia is the homeland of East Asians and that Africa is the homeland of black people, even though both instances have multiple ethnic groups.
I could care less about creating a homeland for "whites" because the continent of Europe is already the homeland of most of the ethnicities that make up the white race.
just replace the word white in my post with whatever ethnicity that is in danger of being a minority in its own country.

Really my point was that despite popular opinion someone can care about the survival of his own ethnic group and still not be racist. You don't have to believe me but I have close friends that are from around the world.

No you had a good point. It really is about ethnic group not race since race is such a contrived idea. After all, most people think of white people as only Europeans and most North Americans but the reality is that many Semitic people could be considered white (Jews, Arabs), a ton of Latinos are white, and there is the Indo-European Aryan link as well.

I dont understand why folks get so obsessed with race.... "white pride", people feel really threatened. Why? Who cares whether which people can or cant be considered white? I just dont get it. There was a real need for the "black pride" movement, for black Americans to make a place for themselves at the table, assert themselves as valuable and equal, they truly *had* been oppressed as we all know. Affirmative action based on race was necessary but it's not anymore and it's on the way out. But the "white pride" business I dont understand. White people are not oppressed.

If there's any race that should be worried about their continued cultural existance it would be the native American race.

Some of what you say is true to a point but in the process, the culture is being destroyed. It is a shame that the only way the tribes can get ahead is though gambling, a human weakness. Unemployment is rampant, reservation life is appalling and the children are moving away and leaving their culture behind. Many tribal rituals are only performed for tourists, for a fee. Alcoholism is epidemic. Not blaming anyone in particular, just stating the facts.
