I have no dog in this fight. I'm all for freedom of choice. But! States rights are more important. The majority of people in a state should have the right to control what happens in their state, not the federal government. It's not like abortions is being outlawed in the USA, it's not.
The people should have the right to control what happens in their own body. The state should not have the right to make that decision for women. Unless you're okay with the state also having the right to make that decision for men. How's mandatory vasectomies for all males the moment they reach puberty until the eve of their wedding sound?

Women can control their own bodies by not having sex if they're not prepared to have a baby, or if they don't think that their current partner is a good bet for a stable, long-term relationship. And yes, I'm aware that rape victims did not have a choice, which is one reason why I favor abortion rights for anyone who was raped and reports that fact to law enforcement. Lesser of two evils, and all that.

Nobody is sterilizing women. That was a California thing in the 50s/60s.
Maybe anti-abortionists are naive but I think they're expecting personal responsibility.
