Uh, what does service and volunteerism have to do with "brainwashing"? None of it is "political" at all; for example, on much of the "medical" shows they'll mention a blood drive as part of the episode, is that "socialist" or whatever the paranoia of the day is? On "The Mentalist" I believe the Van Pelt character is going to simply say that she volunteers at a soup kitchen in her spare time as a 1-line piece of the episode.

C'mon, even Bush advocated service and "giving back" to some extent. Sometimes I think Obama could be in a coma and people would find things to rank on him. I don't think he's "perfect", but give me a break, stop this garbage!

How bout those "cute as a button" health care reform singers on CNN?

Obama and his agenda have been pumped up to levels never before seen by a willingly complicit media.

What do you think would have been the reaction if the Bush administration had suggested to Hollywood writers that they include certain messages in their story lines?

The moment anyone raised a voice in protest, reaction would've been something like, how dare you criticize a patriotic decision made by our courageous President! (And then the protesters would all be labeled "libs.")

Just "say no" and cancel your cable. There's plenty to read on the internet and hulu.com has TV shows and movies.

Save yourself $60-$200 bucks a month and watch what you want, when you want and read both domestic and foreign news from both sides of the political spectrum.

You'll be better off in the long run.

That's not a bad idea. But how will I watch Curb Your Enthusiasm?

"Not only will program makers prostrate themselves to push Obama’s lies about health care, banker bailouts, global warming and creepy public service programs that border on mandatory volunteerism, but they will also lead unsuspecting victims of their brainwashing into the arms of groups like Planned Parenthood."

Wow. Someone must have had one awful childhood.

I'm no big fan of network TV, but I went to the Prison Planet homepage, and there's WAY more crap there on that one page than a whole year's worth of network TV.

LOL...there seems to be a whole lot of broadcasting available on America's favorite crybaby station WLAB (WhineLikeAB***h), because once again, they're stomping their feet and pissing and moaning over what they perceive as propaganda and brainwashing...

Don't like the message? Don't want to watch programs containing it? Then get some exercise, get up off your whiny gluteus maximii and either change the channel or TURN THE D**N TV OFF!

I say again, there are those of us out here who are appreciative of and supportive of the idea of volunteerism, and I don't recall needing anyone's permission to do so...my parents are both deceased, I don't have any bosses after I get home from work, and I'm no longer in the military, so I don't have to take orders from ANYONE...especially not a bunch of bratty-acting so-called adults who think they can tell everyone else what to do because they still have their undies in a bunch over the current occupant of the White House...and that's what this is all about, no matter how much they insist it isn't

CNN isn't considered networks TV.
