He could have talked to him from the white house. It was a waste do you know how much it cost us for Them to take different planes over there and all that included?

Don't forget we paid for Oprah's haul, too.

It's a d@mned shame. Just think of all the incentive the atheletes would have had, running at top speed from knife- and gun-wielding muggers, jumping through tremendous hoops put up by politicians offering favors, etc.

Odd that it happened so fast, though. Chicago was practically the first location to get rejected. Didn't our esteemed President just get back from making the first in-person Presidential sales pitch in Olympic history?

Better keep your day job, Barack. While you can.

Good grief! First he wasn't supposed to go, according to the conservatives; now's he's a failure when Chicago only had a 25% chance to begin with.

Oh, well, on to the next diplomatic trip he'll take that the cons won't like, and decide he should really be working on "world peace" instead.

Think about how many unemployed Americans we could have helped with the money they spent to be told NO

Did you complain every time Bush flew to Texas to work on his ranch? I don't think so but if our current President does anything, the RW'ers find a way to make it sound negative. For all of you who are happy that the Olympics weren't awarded to Chicago, you should be ashamed of yourselves. It's not a loss for Obama, it's a loss for the country and especially the Midwest region in economic gains. Of course, you'd rather be vindictive and selfish, rather than think of the people it could have possibly helped. Disgusting!
