Honestly, I dont think African American youths give a flip about slavery. They always had their heads on the desk in history class, and when we had to watch Roots they made wisecracks or didnt pay attention (heads on desks)

Why should black people forget and move on about slavery, while Irish, German, and Italian Americans continue to celebrate and immortalize their histories (Ellis Island) and the Jews continue to cram the holocaust down everyone's throat.
I find it truly amazing how so many white people have absolutely no respect for black people and their history in America, by keep insisting that black people forget and move on about their history.
When The Irish, Italians, Germans and Jews just forget about their history in America, then maybe, just maybe blacks will just forget about theirs.
