You are ruining the fairy tale, don't you know that if guns didn't exist there would have never been any violence on the planet? Didn't you read the history before the invention of guns? People walked around holding hands and never a violent thought came to them.

I saw that too, a woman who wore a handgun to a children's soccer game, found dead in what seems a domestic murder/suicide.

I agree, you can be murdered a lot of ways, I just found it interesting that as one of those, I'm-prepared-not-to-be-a-sheep-that-is-why-I-carry-my-Glock-to-the-kids-soccer-games-ready-for-anything-because-the-hordes-or-the-government-is-going-to-take-my-freedom, kind of person, was totally unprepared to defend herself against the most common perpetrator of violent crime, somebody you know.
On a gun board I frequent it was mentioned that on another gun board, where she posted, she had posted in the past about her abusive husband, who threatened her if she left him. She was trying to get away from him but, did so too late it seems. I believe he was one reason she carried a gun, to protect herself and her children (hence carrying everywhere, including the game...).
