Police estimates put the National Equality March numbers at 100,000 — that’s 40,000 more than any honest estimate of the “9/12 movement” march. Fox should, therefore, be providing 1.67x more coverage of the event, but so far we’re at 0. One can only imagine why. Perhaps the marchers should start wildly exaggerating their numbers? That got Beck’s attention last time.
White boyz and gurlls marching for equality. Next thing ya know, they'll want free health care and churches required to perform marriage ceremonies. You can almost smell the pee running down congress's collective leg.

I saw the blogger's estimate of 100,000. Was there a legitimate source for the count? Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it' hard to get gays to show up for a parade. I'd just like to see a real source for the count.
i do have to question this account too - the dc police don't generally release crowd estimates. i'd like to see an actual news article stating that the police gave an estimate.

"Tens of thousands of gay rights activists are headed to the White House in a march for equality that will take them down Pennsylvania Avenue to the Capitol."
That's the same language widely used to describe the size of the crowd of 9/12 teabaggers.
I found some pictures here, with the local ABC station.
WASHINGTON – Rep. Barney Frank, an openly gay member of Congress, says he'd rather see gay rights supporters lobbying their elected officials than marching in Washington this weekend, calling the demonstration "a waste of time at best
