SACRAMENTO, Oct. 12 (UPI) -- California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger vetoed a bill that would restrict the ability of insurance companies
to end policies of sick patients, his office said.

The bill addressed a practice called rescission, through which insurance companies retroactively remove patients with costly illnesses from the rolls. Investigators determined companies were rewarding employees for finding an excuse to cancel policies.

Well, bravo for Arnold! It's unfortunate that there are so few ways to show your disgruntlement with your insurance company. Perhaps more moderate Republicans will follow the governor's example and
begin doing what they were sent to do...work for the well-being of all Americans.

When is Ahnold's term up? Cali needs to get a real Democrat in there to finish the state off.
