I think "medical bills" are "financial" , however, despite what you post.
The Bankruptcy Code has a provision to discharge primarilly medical debts while allowing the debtor to re-affirm other debts and retain assets.

The provision I mentioned has been in the Code for Decades.

It is NOTHING new.

This is true- why should the wealthy pay for the well being of those not living up to the standards of the 'master race' and their minions (Insurance company CEO's, shareholders, tea baggers & prostitute politicians in Washington, etc etc etc)

We must preserve the wealth of the chosen few

I know this idea is foreign to you, and you think Franklin owned the individuals who spoke, but being ignorant doesnt mean that bankrupcies go down if you are selectively going to pick how to classify "medical" vs "financial"..

Americans now dont file bankruptcy over medical, they file over their inability to pay OTHER bills while sick, a fact that wont change.
When the majority of the bills they can't pay are medical, then that's a medical bankruptcy. That's how it works. See, when people get sick, sure, they default on credit cards and get behind on their mortgage. But when they decide to declare bankruptcy, it's not because the $1000 payment on their mortgage was too much for them, it's because the $350,000 bill from the hospital for their 10-day stay was too much for them.

Keep in mind that even if there was UHC, the need to file bankruptices due to medical reasons would CONTINUE to be there. A UHC program WOULD NOT ELIMINATE Health related bankruptcies

How about "asking" - nicely (you know with Please and Thank you) rather than "demanding" as you have such a propensity to do?
