Hard to believe in this day and political world, but the rest of the networks outside of Fox actually stood up to obamarama's antics.

Quote:
On Thursday, in a move that even Fox News’s competitors rejected, the Obama White House tried to freeze Fox News out of an interview with White House pay czar Kenneth Feinberg.

The White House said Feinberg would give interviews to members of the White House TV pool – with the exception of Fox News. The other members of the cost-sharing pool – CNN, ABC, NBC, and CBS -- objected.

“The Washington bureau chiefs of the five TV news networks consulted and decided that none of them would interview Feinberg unless Fox was included – and the administration relented, making Feinberg available to all five pool members and Bloomberg TV,” Fox News correspondent James Rosen reported.

Fox News has belonged to the pool since 1997.
OMG, has someone already "in the tank" for obama and his goons actually "seen the light" of suppression of free speech, coming FROM THE WHITE HOUSE? I certainly hope so.

Just because they can print anything they desire doesn't mean the first amendment is violated if they aren't invited. That would pretty much mean any "news exclusive" would automatically be a violation of the first amendment, and every time you hold a news conference if you didn't invite anyone who might ever want to be there you would be in violation as well. Read the text and the case law associated with it.

Glad to see the "liberal media" can remain classy and stand up for Fox despite Fox continually throwing them under the bus for being Obama worshippers.

They did this for self preservation ONLY. Because they know at some time there will be another Republican in office and they don't want it to happen to them.

Sorry, but none of FOX "News" freedoms were violated, not granting interviews to someone does not violate their rights. Heck if it had been me I would have considered not giving any of them interviews and see how long it would take for them all to cave. I find it amusing that FOX shows their partisan colors every day in their broadcasts yet attempt to play the victim when those they attack tell them they are not welcome. Playing victim seems to be the new game plan of the far right, I have zero sympathy.

Regardless of thier motivations, I have a little bit more respect for those other stations.

On the other hand, the fact that the white house tried these stupid games.... loss of respect as is typical.

To be fair, its not a first amendment right. simply because a news organization exists is not sufficient reason demand that any White House admin must include them in a question answer session with a person holding a position as a presidential appointment. but is was petty and childish of the 0bama admin to purposely exclude Fox News, just because the news commentators on fox disagree with 0bama's policies..

Clearly the liberals in the media have more sense and a better understanding of the importance of a free and unrestricted press than the leftwing hacks on C-D.
