Many see Doctors every day of the week without paying up front - even when they do not have insurance.

Lol really. Well how many times? How about surgery for an illness. Would a specialist give that for free or admin cancer meds? For free?

Don't forget you always tell us your wife doesn't accept Medicare because it pays too little. I'd say not getting paid is far less than that?

Maybe a diceill do one visit but what about two three or ten?

As i said i use the system and i know exactly how it REALLY works. If you want to believe the media then go ahead. It is a pity that your only knowledge of how a system works is fom newspaper reports.
I just gave you a personal example of how the newspaper reports are absolute rubbish yet you want to still believe the media...no wonder many Americans think a health system that could cover every American is impossible...the media has told you so.

Yes, my wife does not accept Medicare - the same as a whole lot of other Doctors.

The fact is TM - many doctors accept patients - treat them, without pre payment. They bill them. So, how about staying in the realm of realism, OK?

My sister recently went to see a doctor because of rash that had come up on her legs. His receptionist asked for proof of insurance or payment in advance before the doctor would even entertain the idea of seeing her. She has no insurance so they suggested she visited the emergency room.
That is reality greatday. i m not sure where you get the idea that doctors will just see anyone without proof of payment. maybe these are the doctors that you were talking about earlier who are filing for bankruptcy?
Maybe you should stay in the "realm of realism"

Please - re-read my previous post. Read the portion that said "many" doctors. I did not say all

Doctors have to make money to stay open. Some appear not to understand that concept. Yet, most Doctors want to help those who are sick - and they do. Often to their own detriment.

My family and i use physicians so we kinda keep up with what is going on from a patients point of view. Obviously quite different to a physicians perspective, but then it would be.
