Yeah, I find that photo offensive, too. But not because it's sexist, but because of the filthy disrespect she's showing the American flag!

Newsweek makes sport of unflattering covers of Palin; it's what they do. From the extreme close up, to the picture with the shotgun (a 4year old picture taken from a hunting mag), to the use of this cover which was actually from Running World. Contrast these with Obama's covers-the one with the backlighting halo is just fab. Nah...no bias there.

Please tell me, besides her filthy disrespect of the American flag, by wadding it up, tossing it over a chair and leaning on it, what, pray tell, is "unflattering" about this picture of Sarah Palin?

You know she "wadded it up, tossed it on a chair"?? Looks to me as though its draped over a chair, not touching the ground, per protocol. But it sounds like you were at the photo shoot, so hey..have at it.

Does it look neatly folded in a proper triangle to you? Is it tossed over the back of a chair? Is she leaning on it? There's no protocol I know of that says that's a respectful way to treat the American flag.

But sure, by all means, change the subject you brought up and that I asked you to clarify -- how is that photo "unflattering" to Sarah Palin?

Excellent and fair commentary!

well, I am sorry, but I don’t blame Newsweek for taking the bait. Sarah Palin is a savvy, experienced grown up, she should take at least some of the responsibility for setting it. Refusing to do so is, in my estimation, the most un-presidential thing of all.
That stinking R word again!!!!!

Your outrage is unprecedented. You should tell your liberal friends who wholeheartedly defended:
