Gallup Daily: Obama Job Approval

Now, what could be causing this complete tanking in the polls?

His apology and "bowing" tour around the world?

His phony jobs claims from the stimulus?

His stimulus, that is an abject failure?

His dithering, waffling and indecision on Afghanistan?

His decision to give all the right of a US citizen to terrorists, who have now claimed they will use the opportunity as a platform to spew garbage about the US?

His undeniable failure at "resetting" relationships?

His humiliation in China, where they let him conduct a TH, then pulled the plug on airing it, where they insisted that he would not be allowed to answer any questions at the press conference?

It's the economy of course.
Same thing that dropped Reagan down to about this same point at almost exactly this same point in his Presidency. His ratings will recover when the recovery picks up steam.

A bit more info than in your link: Obama Job Approval Down to 49%

Ken

That was yesterday, as Gallup tried to explain what is happening.

I like Pollster's poll-of-polls - it gives a rolling average of latest polls. If you don't like their mix of polls you can change it and include/exclude polls as you like. There has been no real change in Obama's approval rating since early August.

Pollster.com: National Job Approval: Pres. Barack Obama

Compared to what it was earlier in the year, it is an amazing thing to behold.

Besides Truman, Ford and Clinton no other president dipped below 50% in under 10 full months. so it is sort of stunning. Also add that Clinton started off very shaky and was up and down in the 40's and 50's his whole first year, whereas Obama was at 69% in the Gallup from the beginning. That is over a 20% drop in less than a full year and not a sharp drop because of one event, he has declined consistently since taking office.

It is not just the economy and you know it.

His mistakes, poor decision making, lack of trust, his broken promises, his overall horrible performance.

And of course his fake presentation I can do it all that scammed many people turned out to be bogus. People finally have seen what he is all about, add that to the poor performance and failure to accomplish one major issue is showing in the polls.

Please do not compare Reagan with Obama, Reagan did not have all this dirty laundry and extra baggage.

Obama will never recover from this and will never bring this country out of the hole he has driven us into.

Reagan did and with class and honor. Obama has no honor and no class.
