Wow, because african americans ask that people call them that and not what the traditional 'Anglo American' term for them (the N word) that Anglo Americans created and used (and continue to use in some cases) throughout our nations history, that means you 'demand' to get the same term...fine. It makes sense.
Oh wait....anglo-americans make more money, hold most jobs, statistically commit most hate crimes against non-whites, primarily 'african americans', commit most employment discrimination, most social discrimination (against ALL other nonwhites, even some hispanics who are genetically mostly white, and jewish people who are white in everything but religion)...
Gee, you 'Anglo Americans' have it sooooooo bad in America! Lol!
African Americans may ask, that, but I just wish they would stop calling black Americans..African Americans.
actually anglo-american would be a good term. i hope it becomes national consensus just as african-american, hispanic-american, indian-american, asian-american, etc.
I don't know what the OP's motivation was - whether it was some supremacist cry for help or not - but I have no problem with anglo-American.
Unlike tindo80, I don't see what socio-economic / power has to do with it or think that just because a group has money/power that they are not allowed to exist. There is nothing wrong with being proud of one's cultural heritage, just so long as it doesn't become a sense of superiority over others or some effort to separate all the races. That wouldn't bode well for my relationship.
i think he really wants to be black
he's so obsessed with us & its kinda creepy
