I made this poll anonymous, because people tend to be more open when their identity remains hidden.

I would have voted if it was just "yes", "no", etc., but adding the commentary to the answers makes the poll biased.

My answer: No.

i only would feel guilty if i personally did something to hurt someone. that is how my "guilt meter" works. :}

that is an interesting wording to the poll, however. i also believe that if you think you are a victim, you will be.

I can look at how some Muslim countries treat women as proof that discrimination isn't some phenomenon that "whitey" created....

BASIC LESSONS ON POLLING

1. A POLL IS NOT RACIALLY ANOYMOUS if asked on a public forum where the respondents race and identity cannot be ascertained.

2. A POLL ASKED IN SUCH A MANNER cannot be relied upon because ANYONE can answer it, regardless of race.

3. A poll asked in such a manner CAN EASILY BE SHIFTED OR CORRUPTED because, again, it is asked on a public internet forum. Handle 1 + handle 2 + Handle 3 = 3 votes by the same person.

Seriously sonrise, man, come on. Think about such things before you post them. This polls FAILS really badly. Maybe you should have just asked people to give their opinion.

I don't feel personal guilt for injustices that occurred generations before my birth. By the same token I don't try to deny that those horrible injustices have had a big impact on current society and are the root cause of relative disadvantages still haunting some minorities.

Why should I? Guilt is not a race thing. I do not feel guilty because of my race, residence, state I'm from, or anything else like that. I don't even feel guilty for eating cookies before supper.

the answers don't make any sense, in the context of such a complex question. I do not agree with any of them.
