Actually, after the speech they were swarming around him; lot of cadets were taking his picture. He IS the POTUS, and those guys are smart enough to respect him.

At this point in time the United States would be nothing more than a distant memory if not for the outstanding military services we have in place that are saving our very A#@* from destruction from our numerous enemies around the globe!
Indeed a most ominious and frightening vision of America by a member of the mainstream media !
This is an unfortunate example of the types of people whom would possibly represent a far greater enemy and danger to the United States (due to the media position they occupy) than perhaps the very worst of this nations adversaries !

Obama's reception was fine. Matthews problem is that he doesn't understand the military and he sure doesn't understand West Point. These are future military officers - not high school kids or political junkies at a shopping mall. They were undoubtedly instructed by their superiors to be polite and respectful and let the President make his speech.
Stupid stuff by Matthews. I have to admit that, although I am on the left, there are certain political pundits on that side who seem shocked that Obama is going to do exactly what he said with respect to Afghanistan. He said he was going to increase troop levels and make it a priority.
He has always been a democratic talking head.maybe we see now why he no longer is a democratic campign staff member by his lack of chiocing his words. The enemy camp in deed.
Matthews has been caught lying so many times and taking the enemies side that he needs to be removed from our TV's, arrested for being a trader and locked up in a room with no padded walls.
Remember this insane nut said it is not a crime to call Al Qaeda is it?
We all knew what he meant and the man owes the troops an apology or be removed from his job period.
