So, Bush bowed down and allowed the Iraqis to push him around and force him to submit to their will. OK, Some leader we had there..... and that is your answer to why it's OK in Iraq, but not in Afghanistan??????
Using your own logic, why wouldn't the insurgents in Iraq simply wait until the Bush pull-out is complete????? Why is that only going to happen in Afghanistan? Only because the Iraqis forced Bush on his knees? What kind of logic is that??
What the heck does is matter why Bush set the timeline?? He set the timeline. Period. It doesn't matted why. Why is the timeline not a problem in Iraq?

OK so now you understand that. What initially happened was they wanted us out by2011 firm! Bush did not set the timeline! Bush was able to negotiate it as a goal, for the exact same reason we shouldn't do it in Afghanistan. The Taliban will wait.
So sad the left wants to engage our enemies in "dialogue" but become so unhinged when the media reports their reaction to a policy. So paradoxical!
But again it is simply lashing out for their free fall in the polls and in policy. The proof happens to be that post #2 pointed out that many media outlets reported the same thing but who did the partisans single out for comment? Not Yahoo. Sad, predictable but sad.
Engagement, diplomacy, and dialogue never killed anyone, but dropping bombs indiscriminantly has. Which if we had a republican leader is what would probably happen. How many countires do you righties wish to invade and conquer? all of them?
