Yea. Both were and are primarily rich white people.

Im wondering how many 'opposers to healthcare reform' really would have a problem with slavery? The words 'blacks are subhuman' seem to be going around louder and louder in those channels lately...

Our government leaders have totally gone full bore into the toilet.
Slander, name calling and then association to "slavery", "terrorism", "anti-American".
Rather then just agree to disagree and have opposition they have to go out of their way to demean them and make opposition "evil" and "wrong".

This country needs a reboot..a total cleansing.

Slavery is ok when it comes to taxing income and the IRS stepping up audits on the poor though.

Which party was the president in that freed the slaves?

Sad part is they dont stop with insulting each other they now insult citizens and you have a group of citizens that approve of it

When our politicians resort to name calling especially with terminology that is against everything America now stands for and when American people accept this kind of talk..it's gone over the line.

Groupthink is bad, very bad. It's not acceptable for this type of labeling and name calling, regardless of your party and regardless of your stand on issues.

It's not only childish but supports a "mob mentality" if taken to an extreme.

Funny. Reid needs a little history lesson in his party. Old South Democrats were the ones who were against the abolition of slavery and changing their way of living. President Lincoln was the first Republican president. Plus, aside from the obvious inconvenient history, the GOP isn't blocking the bill, doesn't have the power or votes to. Reid, like Obama, likes to blame everyone else for his issues.

I'm white, may be considered rich (?), don't oppose healthcare reform (do oppose this reform though), and have never in my life used the words "black" and "subhuman" in the same thought, sentence, or conversation.

I believe you owe us some links proving such allegations are commonplace amongs us whiteys.

Otherwise you look like just another liberal buffoon who knows nothing of any substance.
