Come February or March, I predict the news media and the 0bama admin will trumpet a huge decline in unemployment as a sign of his brilliant economic policies, and his jobs successful summit. 0bama will be credited with creating a million new jobs.

But in truth all it will be is the near one million people employed temporarily by the government for the 2010 Census.

Quote:
Hundreds of thousands are needed for temporary jobs Conducting the census is a huge undertaking. Hundreds of thousands of census takers are needed nationwide to help locate households and conduct brief personal interviews with residents. Most positions require a valid driver's license and use of a vehicle. However, use of public transportation may be authorized in certain areas.

2010 Census Jobs
How do you think the mainstream media and the 0bama admin will portray this sudden surge in jobs?

Doesn't matter..it's a job with a paycheck. Sure they might spin the numbers but money is money and there's plenty of folks out there that could use a few paychecks to help them live.

Spin the numbers? The point is that temporary government jobs should not be counted when calculating unemployment numbers, because they are artificial. I know people collect a pay check, and I do not begrudge them that, but those temp jobs are a false indicator of the economy.

I asked it before and no one answered - would you rather see someone with no job rather than a temp?

I agree with you and even the UE numbers just released counted 52K temporary jobs to get the final figure of 11K loss.

Keep it in perspective. Read the reports for yourself and look at the details.
I've been doing that since 2007 when Wall Street started trading "funny".
The devil is always in the details so keep yourself informed and let the sheep drink the koolaid.
