This makes no sense to me. No president could have fixed the economy in one year. Our economic problems are too fundamental and no president has that kind of power, anyway.
Why pick on Obama? Because he's from the opposing party? I'm not an Obama supporter, but I still don't agree with your position. There's no logic to it. You're like a sports fan, illogical, childish...
Your behavior only serves to hinder progress. Your name shouldn't be "commonsense", because there's no sense to your arguments.

Thank you.
This is what I take issue with. We have an extremely complex problem, that any adult can understand isn't going to be solved quickly. People don't want progress, they want perfection, which is unrealistic and irrational.
It's all irrelevant anyway, because the people who post things like the OP aren't interested in discussing anything or progress. They are only interested in attacking the opposing party, regardless of facts, how illogical it is, or even when the truth is clearly evident. They'll just ignore it and repeat themselves.

The OP needs to:
Take an economics class
Do a wee bit of historical research. It doesn't take any time for an economy to falter but much time to recover.

We aren't asking for perfection by any stretch of the imagination. We ARE asking that jobs and the deficit/economy be made a focal point by this administration. He has subverted the economy to promote his own political agenda ala health care reform and cap and tax. Why do you think only 32% of the public feels our country is heading in the right direction?
Obama is no dummy. He knows that if he doesn't get his agenda passed by Nov (maybe sooner thanks to Brown ), then it won't likely get passed. THAT's why we are upset. Focus on the things that matter to us right now and everything else will fall into place.

This makes no sense. You don't agree with this administration, ideologically, yet you want it to focus on the economy? Doesn't the idea of government focus on the economy conflict with laissez-faire capitalism?
It seems to me that you have unrealistic expectations.
