Conspiracy implies immoral or illegal activities that are transgressed through team effort.
True liberalism is a deliberation on morals from every individual and group perspective. It seeks to progress our society through deliberation on social issues.
Apparently this judge feels that the whole world needs to see the preceedings, not just California, the only place that will be effected by the Court's ruling. There's something more than just wanting to be transparent here. Otherwise, he'd let the newspaper headlines do the talking.
It's a federal court trial that could have an effect on state laws around the country, and eventually, the U.S. Supreme Court. Considering the unimportant fare that is broadcast on C-SPAN every day, I think this trial merits national attention.
My first thought was, why YouTube? What does YT have to do with these proceedings? Wouldn't a more appropriate platform be C-Span, or local news outlets? I don't know, but I think the platform should appeal to all in the state, not just the younger crowd that frequents YT.
Supporters of Proposition 8 opposed public dissemination of the trial video, arguing that witnesses might be intimated speaking before an audience of millions of people. An attorney for the Proposition 8 supporters declined to comment when asked if he would challenge Walker's decision.
This seems like a decent compromise between those who wanted the trial televised and witnesses for Prop. 8 who wanted to hide their faces from the public.
I wish that ALL trials were televised on the Internet and available for public consumption. I don't see anything wrong with that. I would also like to see the final stages of the healthcare bill debate broadcast on C-SPAN, so I voted YES. As a side note I think that Republicans (I'm a conservative, but not a Republican) should focus on things like fiscal conservancy and quit focusing on all of the social issues. This is one of the reasons that the Republicans (who are as immoral as anyone else while preaching the opposite) have suffered at the polls in recent years.

There shouldn't have been any compromise, at all. The people need to see this in real time, not an (possibly) edited version on YouTube.
Yeah, that would have been my preference, but the YouTube video is better than nothing at all.
Youtube is merely a sign of the times, something these flat earth types don't' seem to understand. I'd be they are still watching MTV waiting to see a music video too.

Since you're on the internet you can go to youtube and check out. Welcome to the 21st century.
Guess what, I don't have cable. Maybe the trials shouldn't go only to a rich audience that can afford those luxuries.
FYI I live in CA so this actually effects me. Since you live in IL why do you even care?
