I'm an American. I also have many conservative friends (although the smart rational kind, yes there are many). But yes, being a "liberal" leaner (although by no means a liberal), I just do not see why anyone would be agaisnt single-payer government-run health insurance. The pros greatly outweigh the cons ... by far. I hate that we dismiss this idea as a country.
I'm not sure i've read a post tinged with so many contradictions as this one.
You tell us we don't know what liberalism is, then proceed to harp on free healthcare while telling us that we're giving corporations all the power?
Well, lets recap the past 3 years:
1) Democrats - the liberals in this country - retained a supermajority in Congress and gained another seat in the White House
2) Free healthcare isn't free - someone has to pay for it - and the liberals in this nation are insisting that "I" pay for "your" healthcare.
3) Democrats drafted the healthcare legislation that is a virtual candy store for healthcare providers (ie. corporations), giving them more power than they've ever had over the American healthcare system
So, who exactly is the dumbass here? I'd reconcile that it is you who needs a refresher course on who's doing the dictating.
