In another thread Republicans/Conservatives had the opportunity to share what they tell their children about their political ideology and their own personal values.
I'd love to hear what progressives/liberals tell their kids. What makes big government so appealing to you and why do you think it's good for your kids - both in the short term and in the long run?
It's Bush's fault.
Wall Street is evil.
Corporations are greedy.
Tax the wealthy.
Unionize.
Organized Religion is bad.
Whiteman guilt.
There is no American exceptionalism.
The United States is not a positive force in this world.
It's not the ideology of muslims but rather our foreign policy that makes muslims want to murder us.
I find it hard to believe anybody will talk politics with a 10 year old. But that's me.
My 11 year old son is very interested in politics and we talk about it frequently. Many of his classmates at school debate politics as well. One of them has an Obama pin and t-shirt that he wears at least once per week.
I think it's great that our next generation is taking an interest in our country and want to learn about the politics and how it runs, etc. I don't understand why you find that hard to believe?
