"The Islamic Revolution opened a window to liberty for the human race, which was trapped in the dead ends of materialism," Ahmadinejad said during a cabinet meeting on Sunday."

"If the Islamic Revolution had not occurred, liberalism and Marxism would have crushed all human dignity in their power-seeking and money-grubbing claws. Nothing would have remained of human and spiritual principles," he added."

This guy sounds smarter than Reagan.

I hope you're saying that with sarcasm. This coming from the man who was part of the American Embassy hostage situation and the torture, beating, and executing of people protesting his government?

But what do you think of the speech?

I am going to wait to see how the Iranians respond to it.

Only the most brave or the most stupid would stand up to him publicly after what he recently did with the last protestors. About the only thing he didn't do was run them over with tanks.

If I was a gambling man, i'd wager that any "telling blow" on Feb. 11 will be an announcement of some sort of newfound nuclear advancement.
