There seems to be a confusion in this thread (which I haven't studied at length) between radical Zionist Nationalists and Jews.

They are not, of course, the same. Many, many seriously religious Jews have have expressed severe reservations about Israel's military policies in the occupied territories; about their treatment of Israeli nationals who happen to be Palestinian; about the expansion of settlements...

On the other side, I can afford to be objective, my ancestors were Christian Irish. We did have our own Shoah at the hands of the British, though not strictly comparable...

If one-third of my people had been wiped out by some savage barbarians while the so-called "civilized world" turned its face away and pretended not to know, my viewpoint might be considerably different.
