Exactly.

Since 6 Millon Americans must travel abroad for medical treatments why do we put up with this dog-eat-dog, your money or your life system here in America?

Great thread.

Great thread.
I read both your links. It's readily apparent that Americans are being treated abroad not for the quality of care,...but for the PRICE of care.

There are also procedures abroad that are considered experimental in America, and physicians and insurance companies will not support. When someone is desperate, they'll do whatever is necessary to get relief. Mr. Obama would say,...give them a pill, make them confortable, and bury them when they die.

Ah so the criteria of a good health care system is how many Saudi Arabian shieks and Millionaire Canadians come here for surgeries. 3/4 of Americans could never afford?

Americans are having to go to India for knee surgeries because we are so high quality here......LOL

Read your own links.

Americans are going abroad because of the MONEY.

How dense can one be? Did you even read your own links?

I know of no one, in the U.S. that is proposing National Health Care! What WILL WORK, is single payer health insurance. That is very definatly a good thing for the countries that have it, and the only way to provide essential services to those who are not "rich" without causing them grave financial harm.

Health care will always be a front burner issue , everyone needs it, at some point in life. I think behind all the political crap , the real bottom line wishes of the People , is affordable health care, Prue-existing conditions exemptions , and a level playing field..( we are all entitled to the same treatment ).... end of story. It should not be an issue between the Dem's. and the Reps. at all as to whats best for the people, considering both sides know , but , it is , and thats because of Big Lobby Insurance Companies. Take them out of the mix , the discussion , and the pockets of the politicans...and we would , or will have a workable , and fair health care system, for all the People..
