Poke fun all you want, but this behavior should not be coming from the WH Press Secretary. Childish.
Why? Is the dignity of the White House sullied by humor?
If that's the case, should a leader of the Republican Party, because as an ex-Vice Presidential candidate that is what Sarah Palin is, should she be mocking the President for doing something that she also does? Doesn't that sully the dignity of the Grand Old Party? Is she a leader or a comedian?
Yep, she's got 'em running scared, no doubt. Why else do they froth at the mouth at the mere mention of her name, other than to call her names? They are condescending, as usual, as par for the course.

Yes, in this instance it is. It should be beneath the dignity of the WH to respond to and/or ridicule those of opposing positions.

She's the leader of the Republican party? According to whom? She isn't the leader of anything as she holds no public office and can say and do as she pleases. If anything Michael Steele is as he is the Republican National Committee Chairman.

The White House shouldn't respond to opposing positions? Since when?
I didn't say she was THE leader, I said she was A leader, and I backed it up by pointing out that her run for Vice-President qualified her as A leader. Get it? Michael Steele is also A leader, and a lot of people would challenge your position that he is THE leader. Get it?
It's funny in a pathetic sort of way. This WH reduced to hanging onto the words and flailing about at just a conservative citizen's comments. Palin holds no public office or position in the GOP. This admin doesn't have the brights or self-control to ignore her; worst yet, they have no agenda but to respond to her pokes.
By the end of Obama's four years it'll be him asking for rebuttal time to Palin's speeches.
btw, Reagan used flash cards and he was quite successful ;-)

Was it beneath the dignity of the Reagan administration when they joked about AIDS, the gay plague, during a press conference?
