For about 40 years people were yelling about offshoring and were told to shut up.

Reap what you sow. People want cheap..they got cheap. It just can't be made here in the USA anymore.

Well look who fought against the Buy American part of the stimulus bill.

And who was the Senate leader that said such a provision could spark a trade war.

You don't get it, your tax dollars have and will be going to fund jobs for overseas companies whether it's "stimulus" money or subsidies. Why the outrage now and not before, it's the same thing. A subsidy is nothing more than stimulus money in smaller package. They are used to support highly unprofitable industies like wind and solar.

According to your article it only applied to public works projects, the wind farms are private projects.

Yes, but without the Buy America provisions, more jobs and money could have been funneled outside our borders.

And if you read the content many governments couldn't abide by it because they couldn't find stuff MADE IN AMERICA !

It's a double edge sword there my friend.
Now that we are ready to buy American there's nothing left made here 100%.

Yeah, its about time, we trash the "free trade" mantra, because China, our piggy bank and rival, is definitely not playing fair or for free.

It do or die time.

"The president rightly says that capturing a lead in the new green industrial revolution is a matter of our nation's basic economic security. Well, consider the way we deal with national security when it comes to the military. There's no parading about free trade. No conservative blather about small government, or getting government out of the way."
