The federal government spent $3.5 trillion during President Obama's first year in office. This far exceeds the spending for any other first-year president.
In fiscal 2009 the federal government spent $3.52 trillion -- $2.8 trillion in 2000 dollars, which sets a benchmark for comparison.
But compared with other presidents' first years in office, Obama is running circles around them.
Truly amazing. Isn't this the guy that promised fiscal restraint? That promised that he wouldn't be spending our kids and grandkids futures?

"You never want a serious crisis to go to waste." - Rahm Emanuel, November 2008
Fast forward a year, and there is certainly no denying that this was the mantra carried forward by the Obama Administration. One could argue that some sort of stimulus was necessary (targeted, and specific, not the stimulus Obama pushed forward), but it in utter contempt for the nation, this Administration continues spend money on other issues that don't have to be resolved by tomorrow. In other words, Obama and his cronies felt that they had a political mandate to do whatever they wanted, and our grandkids will be paying immensely because of it. This is the reason Democrats will get the boot in 2010/2012. Bet on it.
hey Clarence, do you think ANY of Obama's policies have taken affect yet? he can't take credit for any job growth then because it will take YEARS before his decisions take affect right? .,
He didn't take office with a 200 BILLION surplus and turn it into a disaster....BUSH did that.
Damn, you beat me to Bush's fault
