Your question reminds me of one of the first jokes I ever learned..

QUESTION: Why did the man keep hitting himself in the head with a hammer?
ANSWER: Because it felt so good when he stopped
.

Wrote a little song about it, like to hear it? Here it go...

To those of you who gave intelligent comments and opinions and were not full of 'Self Hate, thank you for your excellent contributions.

Many of you were/are experts in political economics and your insight has helped me understand the history of our countries problems.

I wish that we could see ahead and put in perspective a solution to solve the problems we now face before they drag us down to a position where we will reach a point of no return.

Sometimes, the so called experts need to be pushed aside for a while and the voice of the people clearly heard.

Thank you again, for your contributions....David Kennedy

And that would really mean something if Bush had served as President for 4 years and 4 months. But no, he was (unfortunately) in there for two full terms. Gotta look at it all.
"President George W. Bush will leave office Tuesday with the worst employment-growth record of any president since World War II, according to a new analysis by Bizjournals. The nation’s job base grew at an annual rate of 0.28 percent during Bush’s eight years as president – by far the slowest pace for any of the 11 presidents in the postwar era ..." Source
But to get back to the original question, no, thankfully, we could not elect Dubya President again.

The 22nd Amendment to the Constitution: No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once.

We all believe in the Constitution, right?
No need to tackle this question as 99.9% of us know he could not.

Then again.

Constitution? do you mean the paper that means nothing to those running the country right now? This admin and congress is wanting to force people to purchase HC insurance? Now that is very unconstitutional of them. Glad you brought that up.

I would take GW back in a heartbeat over this spend a buck and do nothing current office holder.

Lets compare jobs

Obama - 0 months of job growth. Wow!

Bush - 52 consecutive months of job growth and another 16 consecutive months of job growth. Guess Obamie needs to get working on jobs instead of playing golf and drinking beer.

No one can say Obama is not reckless given his record of mistakes and failures.

We all had issues with Bush, but Obama far exceeds what Bush ever did.

So yes, Obama is far worse then Bush by a long shot.

While he did some things well, his choices concerning the economy were poor ones. I don't think he would be a good choice for this.

Care to tell us with all of this marvelous job growth where all the money went? Is it your contention that Obama took office and then the economy essentially failed?

Care to explain to us all WHY with all of the growth that we STILL managed to DOUBLE the national debt in eight years under Bush?

And now you want to blame Obama? C'mon!!!

By the way, I'd be MORE than happy to stack Bush's vacation days next to Obama's at this point in their tenures and see who played hookie more...

Definately not.... Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that:

When the economy is booming you lower taxes for everyone.

AND

When the economy is struggling you lower taxes for everyone.

Isn't sound economic policy...

Lowering taxes is not a panacea.
