In a way I hope this bill passes and everybody gets screwed up the ass. We elected them and we deserve exactly what they give us. Elections have consequences.
The Senate bill would require companies with more than 50 employees to pay a fee of up to $750 per worker if any of its employees rely on government subsidies to purchase coverage
This should help the employment rate of the neediest of Americans (those at the lowest end of the totem pole). I don't suppose it would occur to any American businesses that they can simply layoff all the people claiming a government subsidy. So to keep your job, you'll have to forfeit the government assistance that was supposed to bring insurance into the realm of affordability; otherwise, someone higher up the ladder will just absorb your job and work your 40 hours in addition to their 60. Think it won't happen? Watch.
Easy fix for fines, get insurance for your people . . . DUH! Ain't rocket science.
I got a better idea I will just cut my work force down to under 50 and start another company to sub the work out to and keep that company below 50 Your right it ain't rocket science.
Nobody knows what's in this bill. And it doesn't really matter. Obama has staked his entire presidency on getting something -- anything, passed. It is pathetic. The question will then be at what time will Obama realize the bickering, huge partisan hack job and plummeting approval ratings were not nearly worth the illusion of improvement this bad bill will provide.
The dems will forever be the poster boys for bad healthcare.
