We had an election and he LOST. The will of the people IS reflected in the make up of the government. Obama and the Democrats RAN on this issue. They said they were going to do exactly what they did. And they were elected to overwhelming majorities in both houses and to the White House. If that does not spell MANDATE I don't know what does.

Does McCain not yet understand that when he gave the nod to his VP running mate he lost way too much credibility? This man does not make good choices or decisions. Two weeks before the market went blewie, he stated that the economy was sound. Who listens to him now?

Republicans are exceptionally good at distorting facts.

"By the skillful and sustained use of propaganda, one can make a people see even heaven as hell or an extremely wretched life as paradise" - Hitler

Trust me, they can and will run on that platform. This time picking (again) on what will be more popular (hint: individual mandate).

"All propaganda has to be popular and has to accommodate itself to the comprehension of the least intelligent of those whom it seeks to reach" - Hitler

They know, there are plenty of sheeple in their districts that will buy their rhetoric, as they have been. And then hope for a few more of the kind in districts they hope to capture.

PS. Looks like McCain's hope is alive and well.
