I sure hear a lot of complaining about the government 'creating' jobs though. As if it's completely Obama's fault that the unemployment rate is too high. If the government is IN THE WAY then you work around it and quit bitching. You try to run for office, you support candidates that are business friendly. That's the way things are done here.

Our small business is expanding. We have a good customer base, a wanted service and great employees. We're even expanding our facility, adding an extra 58,000 square feet of space. The company my best friend works for is also expanding, and so is my boyfriend's company. In fact, the company my boyfriend works for just opened a new warehouse/CS facility in Germany 4 months ago.

that is the whole point isn't it? opening a warehouse in germany doesn't help us.....

People are bitching because Obama funnels money into these stupid jobs programs and such because HE believes it will work, promises it, and tells the American public so. They are upset with him because they want him to STOP meddling and just get out of the way. He's the one talking about "creating" jobs. People are saying that isn't 'happening, it isn't his job to make it happen, and get the f*ck out of the way. WHy is that so hard for you to understand?

You're bragging that the company your bf works for is expanding in GERMANY? THat's the big f-ing deal? Ever ask yourself WHY they're exanding overseas instead of on our own soil? Maybe because it's cheaper BECAUSE of the disincentive to keep business here? Duh duh and duh.

I guess you haven't seen that many of them make over $250,000 and those people are the ones considered rich enough to pay the huge taxes to support the people they would employ, if left alone.
Actually...I'm a purchasing manager at a small business so I talk to quite a few small business owners. I have very good relationships with the business owners in my community (all apart of my job). The ones I talk to want the best for their employees and they want their business to thrive, not necessarily become HUGE. I've noticed that the 'fluff' businesses in my area (like the store that sells only socks...) have gone out of business while the ones who provide excellent service, great product and take care of the community around them are thriving.

The ones who expanded too quickly thinking the good times would last forever are now gone. The ones who invested wisely and took care of their employees and customers are still here. Of course, this could be regional, so I'm trying not to paint with a broad brush.

Actually, the expanded their business here on US soil, but found that the shipping costs to Europe were losing customers so they opened a central location in Europe to satisfy customer demand. This will help bring money into the company (which is based in California) and let them expand here as well.

See above. It's no cheaper in Germany than in California... and they're only shipping to Europe and Asia from their European offices, they aren't moving the whole business over there. Sheesh.

And the 'stupid jobs program' he's been funneling money into has created quite a few jobs in my area. We're able to rebuild our airport runways with government grants through the stimulus plan so that we can start accepting larger aircraft, which will bring more tourist revenue to our area, while increasing service to other areas as well. This has employed at least 4 different construction companies with at least 200 people involved.

Not terribly shabby.

Can't do that when Obama has just made it so businesses are forced to lay people off more than hire or start a new business. you're about a year late. the HC Bill killed that dream already. he is not a President for Prosperity. He's a community organizer. That's why he thinks he can "organize" the country. He's messing it up.

Why are you depending on the government (and conversely, the President) to create them for you?
Is this an attempt at reverse psychology?

People have become apathetic and apparently, the people who are soooo against government intrusion in their lives are now sitting back complaining that the government isn't creating jobs for them.
When you've been free for so long, going under Socialistic rule can be a little upsetting. deadly even.

.
because he is FOLLOWING the same PLAN as bush1/clinton/bush2...he even helped pass OFTA ('freetrade' for Oman)

we have lost 50 million jobs since 1993 with nafta/catfa/gatt/ofta and a dozen other 'free trade' agreements

and it all goes back to Brzezinski...the puppet master of carter/bush1/clitnon/bush2 and obama

He won't be. That is the sad and madening thing about this adminstration, they want more and more people on gov assistence. Housing will not come back and I predict that the housing industry is another one slated to be assimilated into the governments basket. So we then have transportation for them to address after they take over, excuse me, overhaul the financial industry. So, no jobs for you.
