Any lightbulbs going off? I think the past administrations were all in the global, one world rule basket together. My dad absolutely hated the Bush family and looks like he was right about his conspiracy theory. They fight over the power and the policy is just about the same with all of them.

Actually the Democrats have been focusing on jobs for the past year, and this is the outcome of their best efforts.

Democrats don't understand economics, capitalism or business. If they did, they would become Republicans.

Probably when Republicans stop wasting his time with pointless delaying and stalling tactics. Every minute they use delaying something that's clearly going to happen is a minute that could be used for working on jobs and the economy. Not that it would really matter, seeing as Republicans would oppose whatever he does anyways.

The more people this bunch gets on government assistance and in government jobs the more people they have control over. He won't stop this mad race to socialism until he loses at least one house of Congress or serves his term out.

Never...he can't control us like he wants if we are holding good paying jobs. Not a priority for him

Rat, I wonder where you were while the Democrats were playing the same game during the Bush days that they accuse the Republicans of doing now. I watched it happen and was at least as mad at them as you seem to be now.

See above. It's no cheaper in Germany than in California... and they're only shipping to Europe and Asia from their European offices, they aren't moving the whole business over there. Sheesh.

And the 'stupid jobs program' he's been funneling money into has created quite a few jobs in my area. We're able to rebuild our airport runways with government grants through the stimulus plan so that we can start accepting larger aircraft, which will bring more tourist revenue to our area, while increasing service to other areas as well. This has employed at least 4 different construction companies with at least 200 people involved.

Not terribly shabby.
what happens when the government "created" jobs end?

how do you anticipate this increasing tourist revenue when the government is pulling money from the very people who would provide that revenue?

the shabbiness come in in playing kick the can down the road- with the government borrowing money it doesn't actually have, which means that americans have to pay for that borrowed money AND INTEREST- which means that ultimately americans have less money to spend either boosting this economy or on starting their own businesses to hire workers.

if that interest goes to a foreign country that is, once again, american capital leaving our own country.

the rising unemployment, even with all of this stimulus, should be the wake up call.

If he handles the economy and jobs in the same manner as he handled health care,,,,I would prefer he leave em alone.

Well, right now he is focusing on getting rid of the jobs.
Gotta take one thing at a time.
