My buddy owns a small business and told me that as a result of the health care bill, he will have to lay off 38 employees to bring his staff to just under 50. He says he can barely afford to pay his staff $2 an hour, much less provide comprehensive health insurance.
Obama just caused more job losses. Thanks for nothing.
I assume this is a joke, if he cant pay his employees a decent wage of course he wont be able to afford insurance, sounds like your buddy doesn't know how to run a business.

It's a decent wage for his employees, if they felt it wasn't decent, they wouldn't take the job. Supply and demand

He should gather his workers and tell them that they will get only $1.65 per hour. Maybe he can also cut paid vacation time down to two days per year.
It's OKAY as Congress over and over again has stated that all Americans HAVE A RIGHT to A GOOD PAYING JOB. So tell him and his employees to go to CONGRESS AND DEMAND a GOOD PAYING JOB RIGHT NOW - they said it's a RIGHT, so tell them to DEMAND their rights be enforced RIGHT NOW!

Vacation pay? Who should get that. "Personal responsibility" means you take time off w/o pay, IF they are generous enough to give it to you! Sheesh!
