The things that people keep finding in the latest attempt to take control of the people over are astounding. I wonder how we can ever see the Republicans take control of the government back and change any of this. I think that with the speed the progressives have acted with they may well have us in the dog house and tied tighter than we can escape from.
The U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps is an elite team of more than 6,000 full-time, well-trained, highly qualified public health professionals dedicated to delivering the Nation's public health promotion and disease prevention programs and advancing public health science. Driven by a passion for public service, these men and women serve on the frontlines in the Nation's fight against disease and poor health conditions. As one of America's seven uniformed services, the Commissioned Corps fills essential public health leadership and service roles within the Nation's Federal Government agencies and programs.
Where they have served recently:
Commissioned Corps emergency response teams are managed by the Office of the Surgeon General. They are trained and equipped to respond to public health crises and national emergencies, such as natural disasters, disease outbreaks, or terrorist attacks. The teams are multidisciplinary and are capable of responding to domestic and international humanitarian missions. Officers have responded to many such emergencies in the past, including:
1999—hospital center at Fort Dix, NJ, for Kosovo refugees

That was before Obama became President, now it's a Communist Conspiracy

Only difference is, Obama's squad will be legal terrorist bullies.
You mean now don't you corrupt terrorist bullies, this is who Obama associates himeself with, come on now you all know it. Rev Wright Bill Ayres, and the list go's on.
Michael Savage. I caught the end of his show. How is Obama's civilian national security movement any different then these whackos they just arrested in Michigan or the black panthers, crypts, bloods, el raza, latin kings, KKK, etc? Militias are militias, private or government controlled.
I guess you can't see that Obama's force is paid for with tax money. Some of the other groups you mentioned do get some federal money but they have to get it through government created groups. I guess you failed to see that Obama did tell the people of Colorado Springs that he need a civilian force as strong, well armed and well funded as the military to carry out his program. Why in hell was that provision in the health insurance reform bill? I think everybody knows why it got slipped in and buried but there it is.
Great post. Sieg Heil Obama! I am hoping that Obama does not abolish elections prior to 2012 or activate ACORN to shove 300 million Obama votes in the next election. In a fair election, Obama would not get a second term- there is too much animosity toward him not only by republicans, but independents as well.
2012? I am not sure that I will get to vote in 2010, just months away. Obama can create some kind of crisis that he can then say the Tea Party people are to blame for and declare martial law and who knows if he can be forced to let it end before the election.
How about the chances of getting those millions of illegals amnestied in time to vote in 2010? Could that affect the elections this fall? I think we must be very alert to what is going on.

How about experience had shown in past emergencies they didn't have enough health care professionals available to perform the mission that they have been assigned. Therefore they have established a ready reserve of health care professionals that they can be called up if the 6000 active members are unavailable. Reading the after action reports from the Katrina and Rita would indicate that there was a shortage of health care professionals available to complete the mission that they have been assigned.
Quoting from the new legislation:
(1) PURPOSE- The purpose of the Ready Reserve Corps is to fulfill the need to have additional Commissioned Corps personnel available on short notice (similar to the uniformed service’s reserve program) to assist regular Commissioned Corps personnel to meet both routine public health and emergency response missions.
‘(B) be available and ready for involuntary calls to active duty during national emergencies and public health crises, similar to the uniformed service reserve personnel;
‘(C) be available for backfilling critical positions left vacant during deployment of active duty Commissioned Corps members, as well as for deployment to respond to public health emergencies, both foreign and domestic; and
