Are twentysomethings really spoiled and lazy? Survey suggests it's true.
Jared Rogalia, 25, a Hertz rental car manager-trainee in Alexandria, is as cranky as someone twice his age when he complains about his generation's work ethic. Here's how Rogalia characterizes his age group: "The first is: really spoiled and lazy.
An awful lot of them are. They've been given too much. Parents want to protect them from work, certainly from manual work of any kind.
It's common now for someone to be well into their 20's -- 26, 27 and still living at home, with parents supporting them, and maybe someday if they get a degree, they might consider taking a high paid job but they would never dream of working for less than $20 an hour.
I agree also. There doesn't seem to be any work ethic or desire to make themselves better.
They don't seem to want to aspire for something more..they are content to "just be".
And these are our future leaders.
